My Etelecare with AOL as an account Life

Ive been working here in ETELECARE for 1 year and 6 months already and still counting for the account of AOL or America Online….

Working and being an employee of ETEL makes me proud and i can really say that this company is one of the best company around.

I’ve originally applied in ETEL Libis but assigned here in Makati for Vonage, its a VOIP account. So excited for that account but after 2 weeks of training, 3/4 of the class was reprofiled for the reason that “client” suddenly decides to retain the top 10 only because they doesnt need that much people already for that account. So we said ok, its not meant for us.Then 11 of the “ opt out “ people including me took the “ops val” for the AOL account, and amazing thing happen im the only person who pass that ops val, so again im proud of it.Training training training moment uli after 2 weeks of floating sa WFM ng vonage sa LIBIS, marami rin akong natutunan dun ha??? encoder and feeling scheduler analyst effect ako dun, sa boss ko dun “forgot his name” thanks for believing on me!!!! I really enjoyed my tempo job there.:)

So tapos na ang floating moment ko, AOL training na!!! My co-trainees are so cool, lahat makulit at mga approachable as well as the trainers LISA, JACKY,SOL and AIZA.… super kulit din nila. So 30 people kami for that training dahil sobrang dami so AOL decided to divide us in half, so i belong to Wave 30A team. Nakakatuwa uli kasi out of 30 peeps, 9 lang kami na nakagraduate at napunta sa operations. GOD IS REALLY GOOD!!!

So AOL? It is an all in one software, which provides a browser, chat and email service so it is a content provider chuvanes!!!! The account is simple but members are so hard to deal with, im always saying good job zen for a year and 6 months of untiring patience and still going.We have a so called MSI “member satisfaction index” which covered 40% of our stats that are randomly sent to all our VALUED members, lowest score that a tech can have is 0% and ofcourse highest is 100%, anything goes right? nakakaloka!!! for this week your on top on the second week “Lagapak na stats mo” nakakaloka talaga!!!

Every quarter my life goes up and down, left and right, bilog talaga ang life i can say! ikot lang sya ng ikot. For a year and half ganito lang… ok lang sa akin, always maintaining and keeping the positive thinking towards yourself and towards life. Try nyo mag AOL, hindi yung account ang mahirap sobrang ang members for $9.95, tmost of them really need to shout and criticize you on the top of their heads, they dont hate you as a person really but they are angry with the account that your handling!!! so just remain calm and confident… they are just upset, emphatize and pacify ang drama ng lahat ng tech dito.

I really cant understand AOL policies, so gulo nila, all of a sudden they are going to ramp, super saya kasi super dami uli ng tech, mababawasan ang pagka-queing. Then suddenly wala nanaman yung niramp nila, yung mga new hires, tsugi nanaman!!! so super stress nanaman ang mga oldies sa floor!!! then ramp, tanggal ng niramp at ngayon sobra nanaman ang mga stations for the peeps on the floor at take note may bago nanamang wave!!! then yung leveling sa amin, if your stats are high , then no avail time for you!!! but if your part of the midliers and outliers then,syesta ka kasi unless quieng moment na talaga dun na papantay lahat ng tech!!! so avail avail ka kahit papano. We call our leveling nga pala as PBR 2, 4 and recently we have PBR 6 na!!!!

Super kawawa naman yung mga nasa PBR2, compare them with peeps on 4 and 6… although ngayon PBR 2 ako sa mac and 4 sa windows, at konti lang calls somehow sa MAC Que. so avail ako pero yung mga friends ko na 2, grabe ang stress nila. Diba dapat pantay lang ang distribution ng calls?? disregard the leveling… kasi youre all paid to do the job!!! then give equal call distributions to be fair right?. How can the people in PBR 4 and 6 regain their stats if konti lang calls nila and buti naman sana kung sa mga calls nayun eh lahat maganda,what if minalas malas kapa eh never kana naka bawi…….

Well i think that is how life goes here in AOL or let me say in the world??? “Never expect anything you might end up with nothing”

But honestly, the people here in AOL TECH manila rocks, the bosses are so nice and approachable, TL’s are very friendly and kind as in. And the Techs… very good!!! camaraderie, respect and openess with each other are well lived and practiced. These are the things that should not be change.:)

Back to ETEL. This company is really one of a kind.

With my life now somehow i know that i did change. My thinking towards life change basta sobrang daming nagbago!!! and i know i change for good.
I dont know if what tomorrow will bring… Just keep holding on believing on yourself that everything is going to be ok. God works in ways we cannot see!!!!
